Sew Serendipity – fabulous skirts.

I have heard it said that after the first six months or so most people fall by the wayside and leave their blogs to wander in the ether, and for the last year that’s pretty much what I have done. But hey, summer is nearly here and I am hoping to dust off my old sewing machine and get creative. You might wonder where this new found enthusiasm has come from. Well for starters, OFSTED inspection is now out of the way for another 3 years- what a relief! Then whilst on holiday in Dartmouth I picked up a lovely book by ‘Sew Serendipity’. Can’t resist trying this beautiful skirt on the front cover.

My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything. Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider. I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Who knows if anyone will be interested, or if I can even keep it up. But here goes....
