Just a quick update on my little Jenny Wren Etui. I have nearly finished one of her wing covers and am currently working on the second – both will hide a wool flannel needlebook underneath them. My three rows of feathers (stitched in three different pearl cotton threads), have turned out longer than those in the instructions – but as long as I can get both wings looking similar, I will be quite happy. It will just mean that my little Etui is an original! All I need to do now is sew over the wires outlining the wings, put a little patterning at the top of each wing and add some spangles.
Once the wings have been stitched to the Wren’s body they will be kept closed with little magnets sewn at the tips of each.
Happy stitching and Happy Easter to everyone!
