Back to a little bit of canvas work – and following a day at the RSN it is really a case of spot the difference. Here is my piece at the start of the day….

And after a days work…..

The hand is finished as well as the little patches at the bottom right of the canvas. I also made a start on the eye of the horse, but am not too sure about it! I guess it might look better when it is completely finished.

On my next visit (in a weeks time) I hope to finish off the horses head and have an idea about the stitches to be used for the coat.
Happy stitching!

About wybrow1966
My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything.
Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider.
I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Who knows if anyone will be interested, or if I can even keep it up. But here goes....
It’s going to be beautiful, I love all the different colours and textures. It often surprises me at Embroiderers Guild how little I seem to have to show for several hours work!
I know what you mean – I can spend a whole day on a piece and only get a cm or two completed!
Yes, but slow stitching is so therapeutic and the results are utterly worth it – where else would you find something this unique?
The RSN days certainly give you much to think about, and each detail will help you to bring the others into focus.
I hope so…
I know it take time, but great to see your progress..
Thank you Sally, I guess all good things come to those who wait!
