Birthday bunny..

Just thought you might like to see the Tilda bunnies that I made. The first was for a first birthday present and the second was for the ‘Send a little Love’ swap that I took part in recently. The pattern is easy to follow and the bunnies were completed in 3-4 hours.

I was also very pleased with myself as I finally found out how to use my sewing machine’s embroidery function – which speeded up some of the little details around the hems of the clothing.

Here are the finished bunnies.

I think they look quite cute – so was happy to give them away!

Happy stitching everyone!

About wybrow1966

My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything. Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider. I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Who knows if anyone will be interested, or if I can even keep it up. But here goes....

I started making a Tilda bunny years ago. Body, arms & legs got made, but I don’t think I ever got as far as ears, face or clothes. I Wonder where I put him?

  4. They are really very sweet, and I am sure will be much beloved!

  5. they are adorable. 4 hours to make them though? You must sew like the wind!

4 hours to make one, not both. The pattern is very simple and made quicker as you sew around a pattern piece and then cut it out (why I hadn’t thought of that before!)

These are so cute! I bet a lot of young and not so young girls have requested one!
