Several weeks ago I posted about the mini Dresden wheels that I had been making to use up all my little scraps – but what became of them all? Well I decided to put them to good use and started to make little bags up ready to use as gift wrappings. On the front of each bag I added a little mini Dresden which I did a little hand stitching around.
Here is a finished bag – one down, another 12 to go! But I do think they will make a lovely wrapping for gifts and they can be used again and again and again!
Happy stitching everyone, and thanks for popping in!

About wybrow1966
My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything.
Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider.
I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Who knows if anyone will be interested, or if I can even keep it up. But here goes....
What a great idea! These are very cute and will come in handy both as gifts and for the recipient!
Thank you Catherine – although I think that in using up scraps – I have also generated more!
Very sweet bags!
Thank you Kathy
These are just beautiful and will make any gift extra special. What a lovely idea 😊
Thank you Julia – I seem to be making more scraps though!
At least you now have a gorgeous idea for using them up though (possibly in ever decreasing circles!)
Completely charming!
Thank you – I thought they were a really good way to use up my scraps, but still seem to be producing lots!
I’ve never had a stash-busting project yet that delivered on the promise!
Maybe I should just sew all my scraps together in a haphazard way and just use them as another piece of material.
