I have had quite a lot going on over the last few weekends so have not made as much progress as I would have liked. In fact I only sat down last night to work on the piece for the first time in three weeks! Nearly a happy dance, but not quite yet! I have finally gotten round to putting all the elements together for one of the fish. Here is what it looks like now…..
I don’t think that I have quite managed to get the right body shape – mine looks a little two round – probably because I have used too much stuffing. Here is the second little fish going in….
Hopefully the next time we catch up I will have finished at least one of these!
Thank you for popping in. Happy stitching and I hope to see you all in another 3 weeks.
We are a small group of crafters using a variety of different techniques. Please check out the fabulous stitching by all the other members of the SAL. If you are interested in joining us you can contact Avis for details.

Very greedy!
WOW that’s amazing. I love your fish xx
Thank you
Aw I think I might have a little too stuffing in me too, I think your fishy is just curvy! It’s fab to see how it is coming together, such a pretty fish x
Me too! Thank you
Well, I think he looks quite handsome and not fat at all!
Thank you Kathy!
Gold fish come in all ranges of round and plump! Your fishy is absolutely adorable!
Thank you Christina, I think he is fish that likes his food.
Looks brilliant from here!
Thank you
My goodness, what glories! Even if you do feel he’s a bit chubby…
Thank you Rachel – the next one might have to go on a diet!
This is such a different unique piece. It’s simply ‘wow’ the fish fat or thin are amazing 🙂 Sharon
Thank you Sharon – I have learnt lots of new techniques.
Hi! It’s absolutely wonderful! How much patience! Very lovely..
Carmela
Thank you Carmela – nearly finished now.
Pretty amazing work no matter what! I’ve lost track, will there be something between the two fishes or will they be applied to another piece of work eventually?
They are individual pieces – the kit was for one fish but there was enough resources to make two! Not sure what will happen to them yet.
I am so in awe of this…what a beautiful little creation. I just love him/her.
Thank you Jocelyn – not sure whether it is a him/her either!
So very delicate, I love the stitches and softness of the little fishy. 🙂
Thank you – just got to finish him off now!
I think your little fishy looks perfect and he maybe looks just a little too well cared for. Nature makes us in all shapes and sizes so I’m sure it does the same with the fishy population also.
Very true!
I think your little fish looks fab, I love the tail, so delicate 🙂
Thank you – he is nearly finished now.
These fish are just magical — so many techniques that I have never heard of, let alone seen. So beautiful!!!
Thank you – I am learning all the time!
I love this! What a beautiful way to create an embroidery!
Thank you – I am learning all the time!
Your fishy is very cute. I think he looks just right. 😀
Thank you – Just a little way to go now!
That’s great.
Well done! These little guys are looking fantastic. And we all eat too much every now and then!
Agree whole heartedly!
