Don’t worry, BEE happy!

Finally managed to finish off the 3d bee project that I started on an embroidery workshop run by the fabulous Georgina of That Embroidery Girl . It has been a really fun project that has taught me lots about padding.DSC_0833 (2)

My bee is a little too big and blingy to turn into a brooch, so I thought I might thread some invisible thread through the pearl bead and hang him up in the window to catch the light. I will definitely make a friend for him and would recommend this project to anyone wanting to learn about goldwork.

Thank you for dropping in – happy stitching everyone.

we’ll call this one the Queen bee then, shall we? and enjoy watching you make a few more for the hive.

Queen bee looks great! Have you seen the size of some of the vintage brooches? 4-5 inches easily! How big is Queen?
