Hi all, hope you have had a productive 3 weeks. Where does the time go? You will be glad to know that I have finally settled on a new project for the SAL. Some time ago I completed a 3D wren etui kit by Jenny Adin Christie which I loved stitching and I have still to stitch the base for her to sit on, but that can wait for a little while longer.
So imagine my delight when she brought out a new bird themed kit. This time it is a blue wren etui which holds a little silver waxer in it’s back. So here is a look at the kit and it’s contents. I hope to have made a start by the next time we all get together!
Happy stitching everyone.
Thank you for popping in. Happy stitching and I hope to see you all in another 3 weeks.
We are a small group of crafters using a variety of different techniques. Please check out the fabulous stitching by all the other members of the SAL. If you are interested in joining us you can contact Avis for details.

Wow. I admire you for tackling such a project!
I hope I don’t regret it!
Hi, your wren etui is just gorgeous! Can’t wait to see the new kit in use. Love it when I come across etui as the solution in a cross word puzzle.
I am afraid that I am not good at crosswords! I only hope I am better at sewing!
Beautiful! Cant wait to see you stitching this!
Oh, I love blue wrens! They are such cheeky birds, and seem to live their lives with such enthusiasm. It will be lovely to follow your progress with this little chap.
I have never seen a blue wren – we have the little brown ones here.
I am sure they would delight you! However, you will have your own special one when your stitching is finished.
Wow — I am always so amazed by your projects, and am so looking forward to seeing how this comes together. So beautiful, and you are so talented!
Thank you – but you should reserve judgement on this one – it looks a bit tricky!
