SAL 47: Conundrum

Hello everyone, Since finishing my last project I have been looking for something new to start. I have narrowed it down to the following two pieces – but which one would you like to see? Any help in choosing would be appreciated.

The first project is another sewing etui – but this time of a peacock…. There are a lot of new techniques involved – but it will be a long project to follow.

The second choice is much simpler – a long and short stitched mouse ( there are actually 4 different mice to embroider). The design is super sweet.

Any help please – and then I can get started.

Many thanks for popping in and look forward to catching up in three weeks time.

Happy stitching.

We are a small group of crafters using a variety of different techniques. Please check out the fabulous stitching by all the other members of the SAL. If you are interested in joining us you can contact Avis for details.

About wybrow1966

My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything. Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider. I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Who knows if anyone will be interested, or if I can even keep it up. But here goes....

Ooh, it’s a difficult one as they’re both gorgeous, maybe the cute mouse first as it’s going to be quicker, followed by the peacock – that looks stunning!

I love that peacock, but I think you might enjoy a quick finish, so I vote for the mouse first. He is adorable, and so fat!

  3. Love the mouse, and I think you might have fun doing something so different for a change!

both designs look fabulous, and you know we’re ready to cheer you on with whichever you decide on. I do like the mouse lol, but if there are four to stitch, maybe it’ll take almost as long as the peacock?

  5. I love birds so my vote would be for the peacock. If you put two names in a hat and pul one out I’m sure you’ll know which one you’d really prefer to stitch by your reaction.

I vote for the mouse. The peacock is beautiful, but the mouse is adorable.

  7. Oh, definitely the peacock!

  8. I adore the peacock and cannot wait to see that one start, but I do think you deserve a little respite after your last project so will go with the mouse for now which is also very sweet but I am sure, a lot less work xxxx

Hard to chose! But since I am a fan of ballet I´ll say the mouse! 🙂
