SAL 53: Yay, Happy Dance!

Hi everyone, another 3 weeks has flown by and the dark nights are setting in! So, I have finally finished my little ballerina mouse embroidery, designed by Jenny McWhinney. The design has been pre-printed on a linen fabric and the embroidery stitches used are stem stitch and long and short.

This was my progress last time we met…..

And here is the finished little mouse…..

He just looks so sweet. The mouse is part of a series which form a string of bunting – so I may continue and finish the other pieces.

Many thanks for popping in and look forward to catching up in three weeks time.

Happy stitching.

We are a small group of crafters using a variety of different techniques. Please check out the fabulous stitching by all the other members of the SAL. If you are interested in joining us you can contact Avis for details.

About wybrow1966

My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything. Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider. I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Who knows if anyone will be interested, or if I can even keep it up. But here goes....

Oh that mouse is so adorable with the little ballet slippers on it’s feet and it’s ballet outfit. I just expected a brown mouse before you stitched it. I love it!

  2. So gorgeous and cute. I was also expecting a brown mouse but a mouse in a leotard and little ballet shoes is so much better.
