SAL 56: To the pointe….

Hello everyone, I do hope you have all had an enjoyable January. If truth be told it is not my favourite month of the year as the lack of light can make me feel rather low. But I have managed to make use of my time and have made a little progress on the little ballet dancing mouse design by Jenny McWhinney, Last time I posted, it looked like this….

I have been working on the little leotard and ballet shoes and now she looks like this……………

The little belt around her middle is sewn in a sparkly thread that doesn’t show up in the picture. The little on pointe ballet shoes also need finishing off.

Many thanks for popping in and look forward to catching up in three weeks time.

Happy stitching.

We are a small group of crafters using a variety of different techniques. Please check out the fabulous stitching by all the other members of the SAL. If you are interested in joining us you can contact Avis for details.

About wybrow1966

My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything. Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider. I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Who knows if anyone will be interested, or if I can even keep it up. But here goes....

She just gets more adorable! I too, am looking forward to more light. Where I live we are gaining 2 1/2 minutes every day, and we have actually had some clear skies so able to see the difference a few mornings and evenings, which I find very encouraging.
