About wybrow1966

My name is Deborah, and my earliest recollection of being creative is learning how to smock at primary school. We had a wonderful, white-haired lady who came in once a week to teach the 'girls' how to sew. I am not sure what the boys got up to during this time - but I never once felt as though I was missing out on anything. Now, as a primary teacher, I often give up evenings to teach enthusiastic children how to embroider. I am now just about to embarked into the world of blogging. Pea pods

Another break from embroidery and back to the sewing machine. I often forget how much you can achieve in an afternoon when you turn to the sewing machine – as embroidery is so much more time consuming. So today I … Continue reading

Starting to bug me…..

Slow progress on the bug front. I have just padded the head of the beetle in white felt and outlined with No. 1 pearl purl. I filled in the pronotum with a mix of Japanese thread and metallic purl. On … Continue reading

The ‘C’ word….

I have taken a rest this weekend from embroidery to do a little bit of sewing. I was hoping to get a couple of little gifts made for C*****mas – but as always, when ever I sew anything, I jump … Continue reading
